MUSIC

Here are links to out of print treasures. They are thought provoking, haunting and deserve to be heard. I had to recover these from tapes and vinyl so they are not audiophile perfect. But unlike most music, they have something interesting to say.

My thanks to Leslie Fish who gave me permission to offer this to you without compensation.

One of my favorite artists that nobody ever heard of is the late Dory Previn. Five of her songs intertwine in a tale of sorrow.
Taps, Tremors and Timesteps from the album Reflections In A Mud Puddle by Dory Previn.  I'm also a big Pink Floyd / Roger Waters fan because I love music that is heartbreaking and tells a story. While Dory's musical style is not the same as Pink Floyd's, they are very compatible. Please try them and see why.

Dory Previn (born Dorothy Veronica Langan on October 22, 1925; died February 14, 2012), was an American lyricist, singer-songwriter and poet. As a lyricist for motion picture theme songs during the 1960s and early 1970s, she worked on the soundtrack to the Valley of the Dolls. She and her first husband, André Previn, received several Academy Award nominations for their joint efforts in motion picture songwriting. She released six albums of original songs, and one live album, between 1970 and 1976. Her career continued into the 1980s, touring in Europe for the first time in the late 1970s, and again the 1980s, after overcoming her life-long fear of flying.

I'm kind of new to this video/youtube thing so this film is here as a test of my abilities. It's also cute because Bugaboo is a very fun cat. Surely the internet has room for one more cat video. Maybe I'll also put up this pointless video of Obama driving by my house without even saying "hello" to me. I think it worked.....this is only a 5 page website so there is no room for a video page. Probably just as well really.
